She has a degree in education and has taught for the past 3 years. After we got married and moved ( this summer) she never went back full time teaching. Now she wants to go back to work and not teach. Any ideas of what kind of work she can get a job doing in Lafayette?

Ha, my apologies. I sincerely thought I was on the OT when I responded.

Even though not the OT, pics required for proper assessment of employment eligibility.

Entry level sales?

Real estate?

Maybe some kind of a/p clerk?

Does she have any idea of what she wants to do?

I also thought "well at least this isn't on the O-T"

Does she need to work for the money, or is this more to give her something to do and give some play money to the bank account?

Do y'all have kids?

What does she enjoy doing? Can she turn that into something that makes money?

is she willing to stay in the education field, even if it's not directly teaching?

Not being a dick, but she needs to get her arse back to teaching until she finds something else. Those health benefits save you guys thousands.

In this economy, all those little cush jobs are spoken for by laid off office staffs from oil companies.

Tell her to look at the good private schools so she is less exposed to the bad kids and the rules hancuffing a teachers authority.

Good luck
