y grandmother's xmas check to me came back as NSF. I thought about putting a lien on my inheritance but decided that was a dick move.
You're letting emotions control you. Business is business and sometimes we have to make tough decisions. Sorry granny, it's gonna be a hot summer with no AC.

that would piss me off

21 days ago. Still no payment.

This guy has money. I mean he owns every (one of the franchises) in Louisiana and Mississippi. It's like a $300 tab and that's really chump change and I feel like he is just thinking I am going to let it go.
Hell no. I just sent a bill to every franchise he owns, and a certified letter to his home address. He has a week or I lawyer up and sue. (you can get lawyers for small claims in Louisiana and force the defendant to pay court costs and fees) Plus of course. Word will spread that that chain can't pay it's bills on time. I also think I can go for theft of services in Nola.

Sorry Jack, I'm not going to let this go. You pay me now. Lol.

I didn't get the original back they gave a me a bank copy but it says it can be used like a regular check.

That thing is 100% valid as a regular check. USE IT.

ran CC again and it went through this morning.
So now just two owe. Feeling better now.

Hold on to that check so when she disputes the CC charge, you can still get paid.

ETA: I don't know why people shy away from check in business. You have the force of the local sheriff behind you to collect on it.

Check bounces and customer balks at making good on it? Bring it to the sheriff and let them do the collections for you.

I deal with dozens of NSF checks every month. We try inside collections first and have a 98% success rate. On the 2% that do not, we send straight to our attorney. He charges us $0 and charges the customer 25% of the bill, plus all court cost.
