Are we talking about favorite companies or stocks that are currently trading at a fair price? Most of my favorites are pretty expensive right now.

This is pretty risky. Their future looks bleak imo

My question as well. Fair price, right now HRL, KR, T, ABBV, GWW, CAH, Target but not sure if I would do that. There are some REITs as well that are down for no reason

Ideally? JNJ, Pepsi, MO, MMM, O, DIS, SBUX, HD, ITW, all the defense contractors, PG, PM, TXN, WMT

Brown Forman, if it were below $40. They've got stagnant revenue, flat earnings and global currency risk with a strengthening dollar. But at some point they should realize an uptick in the current bourbon boom or get acquired after Constellation's recent attempt.

Might sell some puts at no more than $40 to acquire, other thoughts welcome.

Also I got in on Nike before the recent jump, will be holding onto that one for a long time.

Why are so many bullish on XOM? Aren't there major headwinds for the entire oil industry moving forward?

What are some solid buy and hold REITS? I want to enter this field but don't know a ton about it. Would like to watch a few for a while.

O is usually considered cream of the crop. OHI, SPG, SKT, STOR which Berkshire just took a 10% stake in I believe, CTRE, NNN.

My advice would be to get on SeekingAlpha.com and follow the author Brad Thomas, REITs are all he writes about and his articles go very in depth into the makeup of each companies holdings and business structure.

If all they did was O/G, maybe but XOM is pretty diversified. I like Merck in the healthcare sector, fwiw

Not a REIT but a good dividend has been MAIN. It has performed very well the last few years.
