This is the only reason I have been to the Wal-Marks in the past year. I do all of the big shopping at Kroger, which is a little further away. If I just need a couple of things, I will run through Wal-Mart and go through self checkout. I think there are 12 stations, so even if there's a line, it moves very quickly. Waiting in line at Wal-Mart is one of the worst forms of torture.

So I wonder if Walmart owned the real estate these were on or was leasing? Is that a stupid question?

Not a stupid question.
I know a lot of the Neighborhood Markets are Net Leased deals where the property is leased by Walmart.
On the other hand, I know Super Walmarts are typically owned by "Wal-Mart Real Estate Business".
Not sure about Walmart Expresses though I'd imagine they are leased.
I think overall it is a mix.
