Right. In 2010.
She said it is currently on the table now.
"All options are open"

Yep. She said that after I typed the first part of her answer. Now she's answering another question about negative interest rates...how it would hurt banks and small savers.
Negative interest rates crush banks' net interest margin.
ETA: "I am not aware of any legal restrictions that would disallow the Fed from implementing negative interest rates." - Yellen
The senator asking her about negative interest rates disagrees with that. He thinks additional legislation would be needed to give the Fed authority to use negative interest rates.

Has she commented on her inflation expectations? I had a call so I've missed quite a bit.

I sincerely agree. Or want to agree.
That would greatly affect our economy.

All I heard her say (I'm in and out from listening also) about inflation is the same as yesterday in her opening statement, "We expect inflation to move towards 2% in the medium term."
Posted on 2/11/16 at 10:30 am to LSURussian
So her expectations haven't changed in like two years
Posted on 2/11/16 at 10:35 am to Bernie_Madoff
Her secretary probably just copies and pastes that paragraph into her opening statement.

Uh-oh, leave it to Senator Fauxchahontas (Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass) to give a political speech about the evil, dastardly banks.
Posted on 2/11/16 at 10:45 am to LSURussian
I'm surprised Warren took some time out of her day to stop lobbying for Planned Parenthood. I guess evil banking is the sexy target this week.

I'm surprised she didn't bring up the Fed's role in racial discrimination in the labor force like yesterday's shite show.

The only buzz word this senator knows is "cost benefit analysis."
He's repeated it more times than Marco Rubio would have.....

What was her argument even? I don't even see what the possible link would be.

Pretty much everybody wanted her to comment on it. She just had to say "the Fed is very concerned about this issue." repeatedly. It was annoying and aggravating that they think the Fed plays a role in that.

Apparently this Indiana senator thinks it's the Fed's fault that Carrier is shutting down a plant in his state and moving production to Mexico after Carrier earned $6.1 billion in profits last year laying off 2,100 workers.
Hey, Senator Numbnuts, do you think the U.S. having one of the highest federal corporate income tax rates in the western world might have more to do with Carrier's decision and not whether the fed raises fed fund rates by a quarter of a percent annually?!?

One of my co-workers and I were listening to that and could stop cursing at my TV.

I wish Yellen would just stand up and start screaming about over regulation and taxing issues that our congress has decided is good for our economy. She has done as much as she possibly can to spur growth. It's funny that they are complaining about something they caused

I'm trying to see what the group of observers sitting behind Yellen has on their t-shirts.
All I can see over Yellen's shoulder is "Let's" on the top line and "wages" on the bottom line.
Can anyone else make out what it says?

Okay, thanks. Fuehrer Schumer, D-NY, just acknowledged their presence because they are from NY City. They are from "Fed Up." Must be some kind of activist group from NY.
