Personally would wait a couple days. It may take a few days for the market to truly set the price where it wants. At that point, I think it may be worth a shot. I'd dive into the financials and guidance first and see what's up.

Essentially Plank lowered their growth rate and now they're taking a beating for it.

I mentioned the other day the peg was pricing perfection and that's the problem when you're pricing perfection and something happens look out below

If I wasn't tied up with Ford, I would have bought 25 shares of UA, but I only had enough money for two!

This is the problem with stocks that offer no dividend. If you bought when people in here were saying sub $40 was a good buy, now you need a 20% gain just to break even-and at that point, your investment has lost buying power due to inflation. Your money is not making anything while you wait. Dividends aren't getting reinvested at a low price while you wait. Your money is just stuck there, not gaining any value. That 20% gain could come next quarter, could come next year, maybe even multiple years. At least a dividend payer, you are able to reinvest dividends at a low price if it goes down, which will boost your total return over time

Full disclosure- I do own a small position in UA

I doubt bankruptcy is looming for UA.
The revenue and eps were fine it was the guidance that caused the price drop. Long term I think the company will be fine. In most cases I would add more at this point. I'm still holding but focusing on some other symbols these days.

UA is incredibly healthy, its all based on expectations. I'll grab some more. I believe in them long term. I don't see myself selling my UA stock in the next 5-10 years.

The technicals indicated that it was oversold, so I picked some up at $31.90 today. On the fundamental side, the P/E requires that they not stumble, but it's still a company in pretty solid growth mode. I believe that the stock can build off this base. And from what I can tell, it's the "cool kid" company in the atheletic space right now.

We shall see.

I rolled the dice with you. Not a big position. Oh well, still looks like a decent one to hold for a while a guess.

I bought one share when it was about $95 a year ago. That share split into two shares. My position is now worth $61. I've lost 37% in basically one year. Holy shite what an extremely cheap lesson on diversity in the market.

However, Wall St pisses me off with its short term outlook. Plank delivered +20% growth and outpaced the expectations and WS kicks them into the gutter because he says that they will need to invest in their infrastructure to continue to scale their business. This is a great use of resources and has benefits for years to come. I would much prefer Plank invest the money now and impact the bottom line so that it doesn't negatively impact their operations five years from now.

This is a prime example of Wall St being overly sensitive to short term results rather than the long term strength of the UA brand.

Yeah mine was pretty small. I've been throwing money in the market a couple hundred at a time since I paid off my student loans... so I'll buy a share or two of a stock each month. I've done a lot better in other months (bought Netflix on a dip down to 85 in July...best one I've had so far) so it balances out on the whole.

I heard on CNBC that UA is the class of shares that has voting rights, but UA.C is the class that contains no voting rights. UA.C trades at a 20% discount to UA. It seems like everyone in here is purchasing the UA class shares. Why the hell are voting rights worth that much of a premium? And if someone like myself doesn't give 2 shits about voting, why doesn't everyone in here buy the class C shares at the discount?
