Under Armour... I'm thinking this is a must own stock. Any thoughts?

Even after the split and the high valuation is this a buy in anyone's else opinion.
I have this to say, amongst middle school aged kids UA is much better than Nike. That's my personal take. I'm thinking this is a must own stock.

I still love the stock long term. They have two young icons in Spieth and Curry that will push that product even farther.

Curry, Cam, Spieth (especially) and Patrick Peterson. Not stopping there either.
I'm with you...don't look in the gym to see where the company is headed. Look at youth soccer fields. Look at travel ball baseball tournaments. Look at every Junior High and middle school football field.
It's every.frickin.where.
But they also dumped a bunch of cash into Fitness Pal and a few other Fitness Tech acquisitions that were interesting. Really thinking they get into more of the biometric and perhaps simple wearable tech for athletes which is reallllllly just starting to scratch the surface.
But people who are looking at the treadmills and the squat racks won't see the market share. They'll see Nike all day everyday. But where kids are going to. It's all UA.

Dumb question, but will "class C" shares mirror "A" shares?

Lol this must be based on location.
The local high school where I live is sponsored by UA, but all the kids wear Nike gear other than their uniforms (cleats, football visors, shooter sleeves, basketball shoes).
Nike is BY FAR the better product.
I work in the sports media and see apparel choices daily by athletes and Nike trumps UA in every way. Until UA can make shoes and apparel that can be worn casually it won't come close to Nike's success.
By that, I mean Nike airmax shoes, Roshes, Jordan Brand are a good example. No one wears UA shoes out and about, especially athletes who have a choice.
The only people I know that wear UA by choice are 40+ year old dads and I am around high school and college athletes daily.

It's about 50/50 with kids my son's age(12). But your are right on everyday casual shoe wear - Nike still dominates that, though I will say the girls my daughter's age(9) wear more UA shoes for some reason. No idea on high school kids though.
I'm over 40, and maybe it's my soccer background, but for quality I've always preferred Adidas. I like some of UA's clothing, but hate their shoes, and I hate Nike shoes. I had bad luck with Nike shoes not holding up well, or not fitting well several years ago and swore off of them. UA shoes are just ugly.

They have incredible year over year growth in their footwear sector the last few years. It will just take time. They will never be Nike in casual footwear most likely, but they don't have to, to be successful.

UA has Incredible growth in the shoe arena because 4 years ago they sold one pair, then two, then four, then eight.

Robinhood is screwing with me...showing me down 50% since the UA stock split It kept me at one shared instead of 2...already messaged them to fix this nonsense

Yeah I've seen other "glitches" on r/Robinhood...haven't experienced any yet.
This thread has got me thinking. I'm going to buy 6 shares of NKE and 8 of UA just for the hell of it. I might add one each monthly. I'm interested in the long term.
FWIW the UA CEO mentioned that this is the 3rd split of many to come...

Not in the West coast. Everyone wears Under Armour

Agree, and I believe you and I parroted the same thing a few years back, if not, I apologize... But I still believe that UA eventually becomes bigger than Nike in the sports apparel arena.
They have recently signed the two current biggest players in both the NBA and Golf and continue to diversify their product offerings. I think it will be a combination of not only UA's own success, but the watering down of the market due to other manufacturers making in roads.

Down 5% to open today. This stock is all over the place (mainly down) over the last few months.

Live and Die by the Spieth.
He obviously lost because of his gear.
At least he ditched that terrible belt.

If people are actually down on the stock based on a guy that finished 2nd in the Masters, then this is the time to buy.

Same problem here
Will the UA.C shares show up separately in our account eventually or what?
What's weird is that my account balance is correct at the top, but the shares don't appear anywhere in my account...
Posted on 4/11/16 at 2:15 pm to Croacka
It is showing on my Robinhood acct as UA.C
