Aside from $ to an attorney to pursue lemon law claim, even if successful in obtaining refund of purchase price you will be assessed about $.50/ mile usage deduction. No free ride for last year. If put 19,600 miles on it deduct would be $9800. So pay $9800 for new diesel that will be worth a few grand more than old diesel.
