I'd imagine a few people on here are aware of this change that went into effect on Monday. I didn't see a thread on this previously posted.

In a nutshell, sites like WeFunder and SeedInvest will allow people under the original threshold for investment to put a minimum of $100 towards companies for equity in various forms. Of course, they explain numerous times in their FAQs that these investments have no guarantee of return, but it is still a cool idea if you have some money to throw around.

A friend just sent me an email about this. Anyone here using it? Know anything about it, etc? Sounds like an interesting way to get in early on some businesses.

Was planning to do some research but wanted to check here is well and this is all I found.

ETA: I was referring to the SeedInvest program in my post. Which is what my friend emailed about.

I had put in some money in a few companies on WeFunder. I love the idea, and it seems like a really cool way to invest extra money.
