Beat 2nd quarter expectations and is up over $7 per share this morning to $97.

I bought in a little over a year ago at $50 and am considering selling and waiting for the dip to buy back, but I am hesitant.

Any money board gurus thoughts on the stock? The company is on a hot streak this year with Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and Jordan Spieth all exceling.

I bought some shares the day after Speith won the masters

Up around 15% since then

I don't own much of their product because I think it can be overpriced, but some people eat it up

They need to work on Spieth's look desperately.

A hypothetical one I am assuming will happen due to the massive jump because of earnings this morning.

I've been following the stock for a little over a year now and it always seems to spike up and the find its floor before breaking through and repeating.

It recently spiked up to $88 and then fall back to $78 and them was steadily making it back to $88 when it jumped this morning.

*obviously I'm no stock expert and expect to get ridiculed for the above statements*

Their stuff is so high it's almost like they're trying to be a luxury brand. Can't see them maintaining that pricing structure forever.

Their golf polos are really nice. Branded collegiate and NFL coaches polos aside, UA's golf polos are preferable to Nike in my opinion. They have a structured collar that looks good all day and doesn't curl up or look like an accordion. You can also get them at Academy for ~$40.

I wish I would have done the same. They have really hit the jackpot with their endorsements.

Also, whoever said their golf polos are favorable over Nike is 100% correct. They make some extremely quality stuff for the course. Under Armours pitfall is how shitty their shoes are.

Look at what kids are wearing and you'll notice more and more are wearing under armour. The clothes are good quality and their customer service is great. They even offer a lifetime guarantee on their clothes. The stock is a long term hold.

They have also made some really, really big entries into biometrics with app purchases. They actually own Fitness Pal. I think they spent a few billion on it.

Very, very interesting company to watch. I posted something about them awhile back.

I got advise last July to sell CVS and buy UA. I did neither, so that is close enough of a push that I'm not too much. I wish I had bought UA with some other money that I put into losers. It wasn't enough to break me or make me rich but it's still always nice to brag about doubling your money even if it was just turning $1K into $2K.

I bought at 45 ish. No plans on selling anytime soon. I'm a true believer and think they will be as big as Nike in 10-15 years.

Their long sleeve heat and cold gear shirts are legit.

I can wear the heatgear ones in this current 90 degree plus weather and be comfortable outside for 8-10 hrs.

The coldgear I have worn just the shirt, a sweatshirt and my heavy down jacket and been just fine in 10-20 degree weather. Over 30 degree I could just have the shirt or shirt and sweatshirt.

The only thing I don't like is paying $50 for one. However, they have lasted me 2 years so far and gone through some very rough treatment.

Their shoes are no bueno imo.

I got blasted for saying they were eating Nikes lunch and could eventually overtake them...

I should have put $$$ where my mouth is. I likely would have made a few grand on it

I've said this in every UA thread. Go see what the kids are wearing. UA is just as popular if not more popular for kids under 20-25.

They have a coup in Spieth. But the younger junior golfers are all in their stuff. But they also started with Scam Newton and moved onto Steph Curry (MVP) and Patrick Peterson. They're letting them design their own shoes and control their section of the brand.

As much as I like Nike I wish they had some more P&G UA stuff to wear.

Again though, they have some interesting ideas on wearable tech via biometrics. Check out what they did at the combine a few years ago. The apps they sunk in built them a deep connection on data from a huge userbase of people with MyFitnessPal and the others.

But it'll be a decade or so of consistent growth before they get to Nike's level. They just broke 3 billion last year. Nike did something like 10 billion. Gonna be a while but they'll get there.

Yep I was advised to buy some in 2013 and didn't. Really kicking myself right now. Wonder if it's too late to buy now...

Exactly... I believe you were part of that thread too.

I can't remember who was calling me a jackass, saying that Nike owned the footwear industry and UA had no shot of competing. I said to look at the young kids and see what they find trendy and cool and it was UA. They retorted with something to the extent of "All of the endorsements of big names are with Nike... no chance for UA"
