Thinking about selling real estate part time.

Anyone know the procedures for getting licensed?

Just like any other financial based selling...take a class and licensing exam.

A broker has to hold your license. So you most likely need one lined up before you go through the process.

I didn't have one lined up before I started taking my classes. This was 17 years ago tho (frick I'm old). I didn't decide until a few chicks in the class said where they were going and I should go with...little head took over. Needless to say I was too young to properly do real estate but sure was a fun time

You will have to pass a state test and a national test. You can take courses online or in person. The tests aren't very hard from what I've heard. I highly recommend Burk Baker for classes if you're in the BR area. A lot of the agents I work with speak very positive of him. He also gives you his cell number and you can call him with questions whenever you need.
