Tax question

Is it risky to show that you sold a vehicle for less than you actually sold it for to help the buyer on taxes?

re: Tax question
I might do it for a family member or a close friend, but certainly not for a stranger. Even then I wouldn't leave a paper trail like accepting a check for the larger amount.

re: Tax question
If by risky you mean illegal, then yes, it is risky.

re: Tax question
Depends on how risky you think tax fraud is?

Will you get caught, probably not, but if you do it would be pretty hard to explain. And all of that to save someone else a few bucks...not for me
