A friend of mine at American Century has been slobbering over Splunk (SPLK). I recently jumped in and it's up 5% this morning so I thought I'd share. Earnings report comes out May 28th.
Company description:
Splunk Inc. provides software products. The Company’s products enable users to collect, index, and search, explore, monitor and analyze data regardless of format or source. The Company’s products address data sets commonly referred to as big data and are specifically tailored for machine-generated data. The Company’s products are intended to help users in various roles, including information technology (IT), cyber security and business professionals, quickly analyze their machine data and achieve real-time visibility into and intelligence about their organization's operations. The Company’s flagship product is Splunk Enterprise and at its core is a machine data engine, consisting of collection, indexing, and searches, reporting analysis and data management capabilities. Splunk Enterprise can collect and index hundreds of terabytes of machine data daily, irrespective of format or source.

I bought in about two years ago. Even made a thread about it before I bought. Rode it all the way up to near $100/share. Then, all of a sudden, things crashed. I rode it back down to $50 and finally sold as that was where I had bought in. Never understood why it came down so much as earnings were good and I thought the company showed much potential. I recently bought in again at 55/share but am planning to sell soon as this stocks history makes me nervous.
