so whats up with DRYS stock?

The dry shipping stock has gone nuts since trump won, this is ridiculous for such a short term move, anyone know if its a legit long term move or just some hype?

I had a broker put me in DRYS in 2011 at about $3. Looks like we've had quite a few reverse splits since then

Incredible. $4 to $100 in a week.
The company has terrible fundamentals and is almost bankrupt. It really looks like a scam, but people are buying shares at these insane prices. WAT

If I could take a put position, I would. As is it, it is a compelling short sale, but that's too dangerous for me.
All you need to do here is watch the shorts dry up, and then pull the trigger if you have some guts.
They had a squeeze before, but this one is huge. Again, it has been fascinating to watch.

Who was shorting this stock as cheap as it was? There was very little to be gained.
It could be one of those deals where they shorted more stock than was outstanding...a lot of these shortsellers are as crooked as barrel of snakes.
I've followed this stock for years. I once bought it for $100 (well before the reverse splits), it went up to $110, then crashed. I got out at $80 and it settled at $2. Then it got worse.
ot in on this run at $20 it was up to $115 in overnight...looks like NASDAQ is going to eff me.
The gain is a bit deceptive..it's still down 79% for the year. It's one of those deals like if a stock goes from $100 to $1, it's a 99% loss....if it goes back to $100 it's a 100,000% gain.
