Today may end up being the best day I've ever had in the market... With SDRL and COP I am feeling like a million bucks

I guess the opportunity boat has sailed on me for SDRL. I own a few hundred shares and had a buy order in for 1000 shares at $1.55. It got down to $1.57.

I got greedy.

Of course, it could dive again.

Might want to keep an eye on it while we get close to the end of the day. We may have another opportunity.

Now I'm a little interested in what happens next week. Like I said earlier, this was a long term play, but it looks pretty obvious some people were covering some option plays today.

It came out yesterday that John Fredriksen (owns 24% of the company) had freed up $510mm and he could be putting it into SDRL... That could alleviate some of the debt issues or show some strength moving forward in SDRL's position. Either way, it'll be an interesting ride.

Sea drill mentioned the possibility of chapter 11 if they can't get 2017's debt restructured.

The ride is coming to an end. Womp womp.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they make it. I've got about 350 shares averaged at about $6/share. It's not worth selling (to me) now- I've had SEVERAL opportunities to get out at a decent loss, but played the wait and see game, and get burned every time. After the last pop & loss, I'm out if/when it pops again.

The only play is hope that they make it through the next year and oil turns around in the next 2-5 years.

If you don't think either of those things will happen, might as well bounce.
