A few of my teachers in high school indoctrinated us on the merits of Roth IRA long term investing (i.e. invest 8000 by age 20 and you'll have 1,000,000 after retirement). These were the same teachers who ran stock market simulation games.
It was an imperfect and very focused lesson that I'm sure no one followed, but it did kind of make me eager to blindly start a Roth IRA acct way back then.

I have this, it pays about 1.0% and can easily transfer to/from my checking account with BoA.
