So i've been getting a bunch of offers from my credit cards lately to borrow money at 0% APR for at least 12 months, but with a 3% transaction fee.

Might be a stupid question, but are there any relatively safe investments (bond funds, annuities maybe?) where I can just take their money for a year and earn over 3%?

Lets just ignore that effect it would have on my credit score for sake of argument.

Maybe help for a car payment for a year.

But taking 20k and putting it in stocks or bonds? Risky. Wish I knew a guaranteed 4-5% return.

Your investment horizon is the problem my friend. 3%, safe, and only a year out? Doesn't exist.

1. Take $12,000 loan for 3%
2. Buy 4,000 shares of UWTI
3. ???
4. Profit
