I can cash flow the tuition for private school. Hell her daycare costs as much as private school tuition. I just happened to have $4000 drop in my lap the other day and figured I'd just sock it away for her 1st year of tuition.

Yep. We got a bump when our kids moved from a top-notch day care program to a top-notch elementary school. It was like getting a raise though we saved part of the savings for high school tuition much later down the road.

Unaccredited school. $4900 is a waste in my opinion. Reputable Catholic schools have their accreditation. That cost threw up a red flag

This is bs it depends where you live. My high school was catholic and accredited and was only $5k

Find your best cd and get the mature rate as late as you can. Make sure you don't have to wait to get your cash on the back end, processing or whatever else bs terminology they come up with, and find your best rate. I've only used USAA for the same scenario. There were better published rates, but I knew they wouldn't screw me.

I'd have reservations taking advice from someone who thinks you should be paying more than $4k/year to educate a five year old.

Brah, if you don't learn the finer points of finger painting, it could come back to haunt you one day.

I pay 9k per yr for 3rd grade at a private. Top notch school. I sure the hell wish that were going into a retirement account, lol.
I know the Broussard school. great school. waiting list is monstrous because of continued housing devekopements on that side of Laffy. That being said, it's no reason not to seek getting accredited, which I would assume they are doing.

If you are asking about private school, I'd have reservations on a private school that only costs $4,000 a year.

FWIW, my tuition and fees was more than a third less and I am more than happy with my education even looking back from the post college era.

Very little in terms of electives, it was pretty much just the core curriculum of TOPS (I had to take shop class twice because I didn't need foreign language classes).

But I didnt see new material until my third semester of college (except for calculus).

Ding Ding

I'll also say the culture of the place also makes a big difference.

For instance, at my HS, NO one put locks on the lockers, and nothing was thought of keeping school bags unattended for extended periods of time.
