99% chance Wiki has an alter that he is posting under, but will never speak about Bitcoin to out that alter

Let the record show the price of BTC at 3:12 PM CST on 12/31/2014 was $317.80 according to the Bitstamp exchange shown on the bitcoinity.org website.

Let the record further show that wikitiger was off on his btc prediction in the OP by 93.95%.

Nice! I am here to accept my bitcoin. Can't wait to walk into a local gas station and buy a pack of gum. I will video the reaction for everyone's enjoyment.

Anyone know where I can purchase a nice bitcoin wallet?

There was one place in Colorado that would sell you that pack of chewing gum, but I don't know if they still accept Bitcoins as payment. I think it was Josh who made a big deal about it after I issued the chewing gum challenge.

You know bitcoin is in the toilet when even Josh sightings have become rare.

I hope wiki was able to sell off enough Bitcoin to get a return flight from Japan after flying over there to confront the Mt. Gox dude.

Truth.

BTC dropped below $300/btc this morning hitting a new 30 day low at $297.

Hey, Wiki (We all know you're lurking. You, too, joshie.), your bitcoin portfolio took another hit overnight. It's now down to $260/btc which is a new one year low.

That means btc has lost 68% of its value since you started this thread one year ago. The good news is the Russian rouble lost 79% of its value versus the U.S. dollar in that same time making bitcoin look good as a comparison.

To make another comparison, if the DowJones 30 Industrial Average had lost 68% of its value since 12/31/13 it would be down to 5,305 today. Instead it's at 17,833.

You're a financial genius and a modern day Nostradamus!

I can understand why so many people on the O-T Lounge Board admire your financial acumen and ability to predict the future.

BTC hit $211 this afternoon on the btc-e exchange and $216 on bitstamp which is back up and running after shutting down for a few days.

Can you imagine what the price would be if there weren't millions of Chinese people who buy Bitcoins without knowing what they are doing?

When Bitcoin was flying high I posted in one of these Bitcoin threads a chart of the price of tulips during the tulip craze. The chart showed and incredible price spike followed immediately by a disastrous crash. Wiki told me I was foolish and stupid to compare the two and he later predicted a Bitcoin price of around 5,000 for the end of 2014. It ended up being around 200.

If I wasn't on my phone i'd overlay the two charts and show him just how terribly wrong he was. I know he reads this.

It's one thing to make predictions and be wrong. But Wiki was an arrogant a-hole. Anybody that disagreed with him was an "idiot" and "knew nothing". After seeing his predictions be disastrously wrong, I take delight in pointing out he was the fricking idiot.

One of us (or multiples?) used to throw the beanie baby example at him as well which usually resulted in name calling and insults (expected). Ahhhhh, good times....

The really disturbing thing is how many posters on the O-T Lounge Board and this board drank the Kool-Aid that Wiki was serving. I remember one of them even said Wiki was a financial genius and how every one of Wiki's predictions had come true. Kinda scary....

P.T. Barnum must be getting worried. It seems the number of suckers in the world is decreasing. The suckers who bought them and haven't gotten rid of them are showing they are the biggest suckers of them all. Some will ride Bitcoins all the way to the bottom.

I always was on the side that bitcoin was a little silly, but this graphic that was posted by one of the bitcoinistas had me rolling...

We (u me and a few others), screamed at the top of our lungs that he didn't know what he was talking about. They still listened to him. I would say collectively we have 70+ years of financial experience between all of us. It's disturbing.
