Following your approach, but would like your thoughts. 2015 crewcab, 2 wheel drive, V6, entune audio, SR5 with backup camera (no navi), tow package, TSS pkg with black 17" wheels and tube steps. MSRP $32,215. Assuming 8.75% sales tax what's my low end walk off the lot price. Thanks. Always enjoy your posts.

He sells Hondas, so he's probably not going to be the best source when it comes to a Toyota Taco. Then again, he may chime in and prove me wrong.
Otherwise, check out edmunds, true car, and the major Houston dealers since they often advertise invoice-rebates-some holdback prices. These three should get you a good ballpark figure.

I was about to go in and sign paper work for a similar Tacoma, however the one I dealt did not have the TSS package but it was a 2015 doublecab, 2wd, v6, sr5 package, tow package, upgraded alarm and chrome tube steps. 27600 negotiated price, 30,500 OTD about 9% tax.
ETA: to give you a estimate on your pricing, MSRP with installed options was $30,203.

I'll call around...I believe Toyota just changed incentives so I need to look into those.

Yeah - depending on incentives - you're typical sale price on a Tacoma is anywhere from $1600 to $2500 off the MSRP - so with TTL - it's shockingly close to MSRP.
They don't have to sell Tacomas - Tacomas sell themsleves.

Not sure where you live, but I bought my 2015 Tacoma from Hampton Toyota in Lafayette.
Same price as you are posting with same options. 17" Black Rims, Tint and other stuff. It was end of January this year on Saturday evening if any of that matters to car salesmen. He told me the price and asked me what I wanted to pay. I told him 28,500. Went to his boss and come back again and says 30,900. I told him about the gulf states Toyota rebate ( which they may or may not still have.) The rebate was $1000 off. After a little more haggling I signed at $28,900.
The used Tacomas go for just under what I paid for new. Good luck.

$28,900 purchase price plus tt&l or $28,900 out the door? They have the $1000 rebate right now.
Posted on 8/4/15 at 10:32 am to weurf3
No that's before TTL. Like a poster said above, those trucks sale themselves.

28,900.00 price is very fair. If you can get anywhere around that...youll be fine. Even around 29400.00 would still be good.

I'm looking at one of these as well. I don't need 4wd, just something that can pull an aluminum boat behind it. So many packages though it gets confusing. I def want the upgrades rims and a crew cab.

If you don't need 4wd I would suggest getting the SR5 package. You can also get 16" alloy wheels upgrade with that package. If you're looking at getting black rims or chrome, TSS package is what you're looking for. I've done months of research for this truck I was going to buy and settled on a price. When I asked for a purchase agreement, the dealership wanted $415 in doc and license fee, which is about $100 more than average, plus the purchase agreement numbers didn't add up after asking for an itemized breakdown. They tried to throw in a 400 vin-etching charge and said it was the computer's fault.
Truck is still on their lot. I can email you the truck link if your interested in it(details of the truck in my previous post).

The chrome rims look so much better on those trucks. Why didn't you buy it?
Posted on 8/5/15 at 1:55 pm to Ray Finkle
There were 2 reason why I didn't purchased the Tacoma. First off, I thought the negotiated price was pretty good, I then proceeded to tell my salesperson that I do not like any surprises when I show up at the dealership to sign the paperwork so she needed to email me the detailed out the door price(purchase agreement)of the negotiated truck. The doc fee fee was $100 more expensive then any major Toyota dealership in Louisiana($200); the lowest advertised was AllStar at $50, GregLeblanc at $100, Lakeside at $126, the other major toyota dealership were all around $200. So strike 1. Then on the original purchase agreement, the price was off by $387, when I called her out, she told me that it was for vin etching and the computer automatically adds it on. So strike 2. At first I was just getting a Magnetic grey metallic, SR5 with tow package and radio, however the above dealership had a Black on on their lot with chrome oval tube steps and an upgraded alarm system for about the same negotiated price. strike 3, color.

That is the truck I just took in on trade, mangetic gray SR5 prerunner.
Posted on 8/5/15 at 5:45 pm to CoachRobertson
The rims are a deal breaker for me though. I'd have to see the truck first. I don't know enough about the packages to describe which ones I'm talking about.
Posted on 8/5/15 at 7:17 pm to tokenasian37
Am I insane in thinking that charging me a doc fee should be a deal breaker in and of itself? What on earth am I paying for?
Posted on 8/5/15 at 8:54 pm to Joshjrn
You're not insane but there were a couple of other reasons beside the high doc fees that were deal breakers mostly undisclosed charges(vin etching) and color. Also, advertising the truck for $395 over negotiated price before I put a deposit down put it over the top. I also told her don't charge me for the doc fees, I'll have my lawyer draft up some paperwork and notarized it and she said that wasn't possible.
She understood what I said and from the spec sheet I emailed her about the truck, she had to know I would triple check all numbers submitted to me. Trust me I had to compare apples and apples, the truck's PIOs were about $855(MSRP: $1196).
