NFC manufactures value in the future

Has anyone with more experience than me, that would pretty much all of you, looked into any of these companies. If technology keeps moving in the same direction to intuitive and all encompassing devices, it seems the companies that produce NFC tech should grow. I found a bunch of them but NXPI looks like they have put their products in apple, Samsung, and the other big players. They also own a majority of the market share. I would be interested to hear the boards opinions on this industry.
