Vwelx did well for me last year but now I am opening a Roth for my wife and the wellington fund is closed to new investment. Any other suggestions to look at?

Are you sure about that? I see nothing that tells me that's the case.

Didn't know Wellington was closed, but I'm in Wellesley fund in my Roth. It's a 40-60 split. It's the most conservative fund I own and is basically funded enough to operate as my emergency fund.

It's worth a look depending on you're investment goals.

LINK

That's the link to the Wellington page on Vanguard's website. I see no mention of it being closed to new investors. Can you link a source or a picture or anything showing that its closed?
