2014 Lariat with Ecoboost used with 8,000 miles
Original MSRP $51,340
List price $42,998

Trading 2010 Chevy Z71 LTZ with 57,000 miles. Right now we are at $40,000 on the Ford with $26,500 on my trade. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but may see if I can get them to $27,000 (maybe $27,500) on my trade.

What's the money board think?

NO, this is the last year for the current model F150. In january they have to get all new trucks. You can get that same F150 brand new for a lower price. Just go to a lot with a bunch of 2014 F150's on it, they have to get rid of them.

With all the options added, the truecar estimate is showing just over $48k as the average paid.

ETA: but I do agree, I think they can do better

True car usually is not "the best" deal and I would still wait till right before or after the 2015 rolls out. Always seems like a ton of fords that get shipped in for Q4 and 2015 comes out and they value at 1 year old prices

Here's a listing for a 2014 Lariat 4 Door with EcoBoost with 18,000 miles for $26,726.

LINK

In essence they will be giving you about $13,000 for your trade.

Busted

One or two year-old loaded out pickups highly depreciate, take full advantage of this fact or the seller will take full advantage of you.

That's a two wheel drive. I'm looking at 4 wheel drive.

LOL - the dealership raped who ever traded that in (unless it was a demo), either way .... no way they have near that amount vested in that truck, you can throw MSRP out the window on a used truck because it doesn't matter....

I would pay $13,500 after my trade, in this situation.

Rule # 12

Don’t discuss a trade-in until you’ve settled on a price for the car you’re buying – each transaction should be separate and not dependent upon one another.

Mehh, if you really like THAT one and it's your color and all, buy it. Squeeze them a little and show them the pricings quoted on this thread. They wont let you walk.

$1000 bucks one way or another shouldn't be enough to make you not buy.....show them the milages compared to this one.

I agree with alot of the other posters. Find a slightly used one and save you some cash. And if you really want a new one, wait until next year when the 15's hit the lot, they will be willing to deal more then.
