1A. Diageo
1B.Suntory
Brown Forman
Cocho Y Toro
Pernod Ricard

If E&J Gallo were to ever go public they would be number one by a long shot.
Beware of Constellation, .

Oh and castle brands (ROX). They will grow and benefit from the ever growing small batch luxury label demand. I got in on them at .22 years ago. I buy them every month

they are solid

Since Suntory bought out beam, they have really made a big effort to grow their lesser known labels in the states. Brands like Yamizaki, Hibiki, etc. will grow because of several factors. 1st the demand for lesser known brands is rapidly growing, they are super quality products, and also american whiskey drinker's palates will like the way they make whiskey as will the european drinkers.

Solid company. They also have a serious saki portfolio and the sushi craze is still prevalant and actuuly expanding into lower income segmants. They are alreasdy positioned to profit from that and now have the distribution channels to supply the public.

In addition to that the Beam portfolio is one of, if not the healthiest of all large liquor suppliers. Just in Louisiana alone we were up 9 percent over last years fiscal and really held some back towards the end.

Solid company. I cant speak for their financials because I havent looked at them, but as far as product, distro channels, and market demands, they win.

Thanks for the insight. I don't see how you can go wrong investing in liquor (generally speaking).

Obligatory

How do you do that? Through work?

Maybe every month wasn't accurate. About every couple months Ill buy 3 maybe 400 dollars worth. The brands they do have, not many, are seen as luxury items and at any point one of the big dogs will come knocking to buy one or more away. They always do. Look at pinnacle, skinnygirl, etc.. At that point I wouldnt be shocked that they hold onto some core labels. Goslings, Jeffersons etc. and sell a couple of other growing brands and then turn around and diversify their portfoilio into brands with pricepoints more reflective of the overall spirit industry. That under 20 for 750 sweet spot for the general market is somthing they dont have a lot of exposure in at this time. They have some labels waiting to be bought out. With the bourbon craze as it is and showing no signs of slowing down, Jeffersons would be and probaly is a prime target for a Brown Forman, Diageo, Pernod to buy. Pernod being the prime likely buyer since they dont have a ton of exposure in the bourbon market at this point.

Oh. Add treasury to that list. Although Australian wines are really suffering, the trend will come back at some point. Its cheap as shite now. If you can wait it out, they will see a rise in value at some point. May take 5 to 10 years. Their domestic labels are still fairly strong. Beringer etc..

I agree, I have drank Japanese whisky there but I'm excited that it will be further offered here.

Constellation doesn't show any signs of slowing down.look at treasury wine estates. They just bought all of Diageos wine labels.

Would you feel comfortable entering ROX at this .80 to $1 range? They've got to turn a profit at some point right?
