Interesting blog on car warranty scams

These are the guys who call you up and say your car warranty is going to expire whether you have a car or not.

There's been several stories on news shows about US Fidelis, the largest company doing this. they're based out of St. Louis and run by an ex-con who calls it a "faith based company".

They talked to several ex-employees who basically laid out that you were trained to lie to get people to believe you represented the manufacturers.

Oh and the owner of the company is building a $17million estate in suburban St Louis so a lot of people buy into it.

Well I have run across a lot of bad press about many of these companies offering extended warranties, and this one seems be be about like the rest except it appears to owned by a Tiger. Anybody know him? See link below.

I wonder how much one these "warranties" cost through these phone scams?

I paid $1400 on my nissan for an extra 5 years on top of the 3 from the factory.

Included towing, rental yada yada yada

I thought it was reasonable

well, i bought a Ford, so i don't have to worry about needing a warranty. it don't break...

I had personal cell phone numbers for C. Cowart, and several of the higher ranking offials within that company. Whenever I'd get one of those automated calls, I would start calling those people, just because they inconvienced me. Talked to one of them the other day. The business is closed and is under investigation.
