If you build a home can you put the cost of the lot into the same loan?

Will start looking at building a home or buying an existing home next fall. If you buy a lot can you include that in a loan to build?
Also, is it a major pain in the arse to contract out the work?

Actually they will make you put them together, if they repo they need all of it.
