Anything more than 1 Saturday per month and I wouldn't be interested. I enjoy my family time too much, and I don't have any interest in working on Saturdays during college football season. For the Saturdays I would consider giving up for work, I suppose maybe $1,000 for my current job (in an office all day). I'd probably take half that to do some outdoor manual labor after being stuck inside all week.

From the Title of the OP's Thread:

How much do you value your Saturday?

So everyone else is allowed to answer about how much their Saturday is valued in this thread...save for me.

Got you marked down.

I expect 19 DV's so make sure all of you and Paul Allen's alters log on to make it happen, Brochacho.

This is a good question. I just got news this weekend that the other person who holds my position at our company resigned immediately. That means I'll be "on call" to work 7 days a week for the foreseeable future. My bosses are planning on going over a compensation offer with me this week to take it on. I'll report back once I hear how much of an increase they think covering those weekends should be worth.

Before you edited, you commented to nurse about the down votes. I was just offering an alternative explanation.

Between your diatribe in this thread and you shitting on the guy the other day about starting a business with his sister, I think you've put us all on notice that you're super business savvy, have all the best certifications, are a rising star in your company and definitely middle-manager material. I think we all know to defer to you from here on out.

I didn't edit anything out. I had a typo. But whatevs.

Between your diatribe in this thread

I didn't earn a dime but invested 8 hours Saturday. I gave a taaaaaaaaad bit more context than that. Eight DV's worth evidently.

But again, you're the one that said no one gives a f*ck in a thread where the OP-literally-asked how much you give a f*ck about your Saturday. Please try and spin that however you like.

Moving along.

you shitting on the guy the other day about starting a business with his sister

Have no bones with ANYONE starting a business. But I'm not about to come to you and ask about what type of business I should start. The whole brainstorming thing is something that you need to know more information about. I'd also personally like to see more initiative from someone looking for ideas than just saying, "Well we were gonna sell sugar cookies or do crafts on Ebay."

Sorry you took that so poorly. But if you didn't see-which I am really surprised ANYONE here cares that deeply, much less you-I apologize to the guy. You too if your wittle feewings got hurt in the process.

You're probably the worst poster on this board with respect to reading comprehension. My actual post in this very thread said that I am not at a point where I own rental properties, can invest or even buy stock. Here, let me spoon feed this to you, ya goof...

I can't invest thousands in Spider Funds and ETF's and individual stocks. Can't buy rental properties. But I want to be able to. Yesterday was another step towards it.

What does someone who has limited-to-none funds to invest, buy stocks, own rental properties or even get paid for working on a Saturday sound like to you?

Evidently, this sounds like someone who's, "super business savvy." Sorry I don't agree. The entire point of my post was that I spent good money and time trying to get my hustle going to make more money and be able to better position myself to be successful in life.

I'm behind the 8-ball while you're busy misinterpreting what I've said to somehow mean I'm some OT Baller? Could you be anymore of a disphit if you tried?

quote:

have all the best certifications

Have I said what it is, or ranked it above or beneath anything else? You're such a tool you're just making it up now.

quote:

a rising star in your company

This is what really, really scares me about your reading, or your thoughts on what qualifies as "star performance," at a job...

quote:

I am already gainfully employed w/retirement, health and life insurance at a gig from 8-5pm, M-F.

I've got a job. I work from 8-5. It has a retirement plan, health and life insurance. How in the blue f*ck do you go from that to saying I am inferring I'm some "rising star"?

Oh yeah...by trying wayyyyy too hard like you're doing now. But wait there's more!

quote:

definitely middle-manager material

Does it come with a salary increase? I'm interested in talking to you but its gotta be the right situation...

quote:

I think we all know to defer to you from here on out.

I'd suggest to defer to me anytime you have to read more than about 65-70 words or anything that includes more than a paragraph or two, because your total failure at critical thinking and completely non-existent basic reading skills are making you look like a fool here.

I can help. I have some suggestions. But you need to admit to your shortcomings first.

Congrats.

FYI - ETA - I corrected a contraction in the 3rd to last paragraph that should've been a personal pronoun...just in case you think I was editing something for some nefarious reason.

attention to detail and an uncanny ability to absolutely leave no stone unturned is going to get you far, guy. I'd like to amend my previous proclamation of middle-manager material to at least an executive. Just superb work all around today.

Woke up at 6am yesterday. Had a large OJ and a cup of coffee.
Was at LSU for 7:30 (drove in from Walker).
Waited for 3+ hours to take a timed exam that took me 4+ hours.
All for no money whatsoever. Just a certification.

Did not get home till 4.

I am already gainfully employed w/retirement, health and life insurance at a gig from 8-5pm, M-F.

This was all so I could make some change on the side hustling after work hours, on my lunch break and on the weekends.

So for me? I gave up my Saturday for nothing yesterday in a sense. Even had Chairbacks at the Box for this weekend. Hell I gave up Champions Club seats I could have gone back to in order to study Friday Night.

I figure it will pay off down the road. I can't invest thousands in Spider Funds and ETF's and individual stocks. Can't buy rental properties. But I want to be able to. Yesterday was another step towards it.
