I'll answer a question with more questions.
Gotta think about UM too. You're insuring yourself against bad drivers (and/or minimally insured drivers with $15k -25k coverage and few assets). If you get in a bad accident, is $30k total gonna be enough? $500k?
Protect your assets in case you're at fault (liability), protect yourself (and other insureds in the policy, eg, spouse or children) from bad or underinsured drivers (UM).
N/A in all states.
And don't assume you have "comprehensive"- read the policy.
