I'm talking stuff like mortgage and car notes and such that requires routing number and account numbers

To the best of my knowledge, it isn't possible.

I keep seeing something about a bluebird... Can anyone feel me in on that?

Ive heard of it. It involves purchases cash equivalents you can put on the card and flipping them for cash. Im not sure what they're buying.
Theres a poster here that is involved, he'll be around soon, I'm sure.

I put most of my bills on my cards but none of my secured debts allow CC payments

Mortgages and car notes almost always can't be paid by credit card. The reason why has to do with the merchant fee.
When you pay for an item (say, clothes) by CC, the merchant has to pay a slice of the proceeds to the CC issuer. They're generally willing to do this since the fact that you have a CC makes it easier to do business.
But for a mortgage or car note, they've got your business already and they don't have any reason to pay the fee.

An easy rule of thumb is you cannot pay debt with debt

bad practice-
But continuing to buy things on credit because of cash flow issues will lead to problems.

There is a way to pay for mortgages/car notes with credit cards, but it requires a little bit of work, and for most that aren't willing to understand the intricacies of how to utilize points to achieve the highest reward, it's not worth it.
You can, however, pay for almost every other recurring bill with your credit card, and are missing out on some great perks by not doing it.

Bluebird is basically an online checking account. You can pay bills like a mortgage with it.
To load funds into a Bluebird account some would buy their refill cards with a rewards credit card.
I believe the CC companies have been cracking down on this though.

When I am buying the reload cards I feel like I am doing something wrong like buying alcohol underage. Strange feeling.

Don't think you can do it anymore, but used to you could order coins from the US mint and they would ship them to you free, so buy $10,000 worth of quarters put it on your visa, collect the points and then deposit them in your account and pay the bill when it came in, rinse, repeat.......

quote:I don't believe they have been doing this with great fervor. They seem to have only targeted the blatant abusers, and it appears those that use the CC with regular spend as well as MS there seems to be little issue even with lots of MS.

I have been fairly reserved and basically just do the basics to meet a minimum spend requirement or need to spend a little more to achieve elite status or an obtain an extra spend bonus on a card. I'm actually pretty new to the MS game, and have just used the cards the old fashion ways to meet minimum spend requirements.

Make a pot of coffee and spend a few hours reading the Bluebird thread on Flyertalk.
