Have you found it profitable to day trade

I cleared 5000% in 2008 day trading, this was from March to December.

But that was an anomaly, every other time I have done it I have lost money.

So I quit doing it.

If by day trading you mean actual day trading (in and out the same day) you have to have a very large amount of money to make it worth the effort and transaction costs. If you mean investing for short periods of time, yes, I have made money. I have also lost a lot (40% of my portfolio in one year). It's not worth it if you are in it for the money. I do it because it's fun. You have to be prepared to lose a lot when you go on a cold streak.
