I imagine they do prefer the CPA exam over not having one since it makes money for them.

I've been using it as my main study materials. Becker is great but it's really expensive. If you have someone paying for it then go for it if not maybe get some other opinions on other prep courses. Bottom line is if you're disciplined and you do what you have to do to pass then really any prep course will work.

thanks, that is exactly what I was wondering. Everyone recommends Becker, but it's so expensive that I'm not sure if I'll be able to pay for it.

I used Becker for 3 sections and Yaegar for 1. I prefer Yaegar and I believe it's a good chunk cheaper.

I got my company to pay for Becker; and looking back on it, I would have bought it myself if needed. It works! I didn't have to retest at all.

It's pretty expensive from what I hear, but everyone that I know that takes the CPA uses Becker. I've heard it's really good

That being said, our firm pays reimburses you for it.

They offer 18 month no interest financing if you want to use it but can't pay for it right now. I would talk to your employer about paying for it. My boss told me he would reimburse me after I pass even though a CPA license isn't needed for my job.

I used Bisk back in the day, like year 2000. My school bought the video library. I watched the videos. CPA exam was a piece of cake.

Yes. It is expensive but I passed all 4 sections on the first try and my wife used the software and only had to retake one section that she scored a 74 on.

I took Becker, passed each test easily on the first try, I definitely think that was largely due to Becker

I used their CD reviews and worked for me when I actually took time out to study 100% and committed myself to it. I worked in external audit, so it took minimal effort for AUD & BEC (I got a masters). Took a bit of effort for FAR to get down some of the more complex stuff (international vs. GAAP, oci items, etc.); REG I had to retake but nailed it my second time (the first time I failed I only got through 4 of the chapters). That said it is expnesive; but if you follow their plan, you should pass. You just have to commit yourself (I didn't for a few years and that was really expensive) and kicked myself for that when I closed it out.

I'm currently using Becker, my company gave us a $1000 discount so it was worth it.

I didnt use it much for the first time I took BEC and failed, then actually used the materail and passd it.

Studying for AUD right now, feel good about it. I like the system.

Make sure to work all of the practice questions, those are key.
