Thinking of jumping in ruger and S&W, assuming we dont get lucky and she's dies before the election these are going to jump big when she wins.

You gun nuts have to be sitting on 50 guns and a few thousand rounds of ammo each already.
Have you seen what gun and ammo stocks have done since 2008?

S&W is up 800% over the last 5 years. You might be a little late trying to jump on that bandwagon.

It's too bad we don't have a board for political views.

Can you flesh that out a bit for me?

Not sure how placing increased limits results in more sales or profits, seems counter intuitive.

When gun laws tighten people go out and load up on firearms and ammo thinking they may not be able to in the future

ETA: whenever sandyhook happened you couldn't find certain ammo in stores and assault style weapons went up in price almost 100% bc you couldn't find one in a store.

That's what I'm saying. How much more can people actually buy. After Sandy Hook you are correct that happened. Then when the scare mongers put out the stories of the government supposedly buying billions of rounds of ammo and arming those fierce IRS and Postal Police, people went nuts again with the guns and ammo buying.

I just can't see how the stocks have that much more upside. OP is late with this game.

I agree that there might not be a ton of upside on this. But gun nuts are gun nuts and if there is a sense of more gun regulation the stocks could go higher.

Anyways, I will not be purchasing any of these types of stocks.

We're not "gun nuts", we're red-blooded Americans who take our right to defend our life, liberty, and pursuit to happiness to heart. So, go frick yourself.

I'd purchase the guns and ammo, not the stocks.

I prefer my gun stocks to be wood. I really don't like that composite, rubberized artificial stuff. It makes an AR feel like a toy.

FYI. I own about 10 guns and my dad owns probably 20 and thousands of rounds of ammo. Not trying to say there's anything wrong with owning an arsenal. Maybe a hint of sarcasm in your post?

IF Hillary is elected and issues an EO the price of firearms is going to skyrocket, the stock price of the manufacturers is going to tank.

IMHO she is going to force the issue of product liability and that will shutter most firearm manufacturers not give them a boost.

She won't have much influence over a GOP congress to pass laws, and SCOTUS has already ruled on this. Relax.

SCOTUS will look very different in just a few years, I would not be so sure of that. A credible threat of product liability is going to cause havoc.

My original point was if you think Hillary is going to be elected investing in actual firearms will likely yield greater returns than the manufacturers individual stocks.

I thought it was HRC you were worried about? If SCOTUS is the real problem here then, yes, it'll be a few years. Still no need to rush. It isn't as though she can just sweep her hand and ban guns on Inauguration Day, it doesn't work like that.
