Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean anything for the people that have mineral rights on their land in Tangi?

I don't have any, but my parents do.

Are they leased? But yes, it means that someone could try to lease it up or it could make the actual drilling of their minerals more appealing.

True story- I've been trading GDP the last 2 years. I buy then sell every time it shoots up 10-15% then buy on a pullback.

One time my dollar cost average was about $12 and I sold some 6 month $15 strike calls and it gushed to $28.... it pulled back to $17 by the time they executed. Capped my gains.... other times my calls have expired worthless for the win.

Then, I bought at $12 back in jan, sold up 15% 2 weeks later, bought back in right under $15 and sold April 19 $15 calls and pocketed a quick 15%. I was bragging to myself about grabbing a quick 30% for 2 months of work until it opened this morning.

Yeah, they are leased. To whom, I don't know.

Is their land in Northern Tangipahoa? If so, then there is a possibility

I've asked this question before, but the answer always seems to come back "fuzzy" - mainly because of my lack of knowledge in O&G/Geology.

If you own land between the Northern and Southern boundaries of the TMS (as seen in this map), does the probability of being included in drilling activity increase as you get closer to the mid-line of the TMS? How precise is Seismology? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's in the Chesbrough area. 70 acres.

If you look at the amount of wells permitted, the hot spot is SE Wilkenson Co. and SW Amite Co. But with the Blades making a good showing that will expand.

Mississippi passed some tax encentives and that may be the reason for more exploration in Miss. But it will expand further if they can figure out how to get the oil out of the ground at a reasonable cost.

Good Luck

But not bad since I bought at 11.82

Some really good news with those results. Anxious to see what some of the other wells being drilled on the fri ges produce

Lots of buzz about HK this morning in the stock area, they were talked about CNBC. Supposedly the seismic specialist that was at PetroHawk is back with HK now, and good things are expected.

Nothing like euphoric optimism, hopefully some of it is true.
