Almost invested before the bell but was hesitant as the stock normally does not perform well after earnings. I will be buying a large quantity tomorrow first thing.

I purchased early Feb/2013 @ 40.28, purchased for each sons account middle/late last year for 78-88 range. Of the analyst that follow GILD the one with the highest per share for first quarter nailed it @2.94, his full year estimate for 2016 is 14.07 per share, what the hell will it trade for in late 2016.

JNJ has a PE of 16 so at least 16*14 = $224

Good to hear. I bought later than most so I'm in around $95.

Long time holder and glad they started with a dividend to help attracting new investors. Plus with almost 15B committed to buybacks that should create a floor for the share price.

That being said, I just dont see this stock trading at a high multiple until they get closer with another drug. Everyone seems not to be buying into their earnings growth due to the fact that Solvadi/Harvoni drives well over 50% of their earnings and will continue to grow.

Growth should continue in the next few quarters as Europe and Japan go through the approval process for Harvoni. However in the USA earnings may start to flatten out because insurance companies only have so much to spend and will start with the sickest patients first.

For GILD price to jump up quickly it will probably be on the back of some sort of acquisition. Otherwise it will be a while before the Hep B, NASH, and oncology drugs to make a dent.

They are using the priority review ticket on new TAF drug. I think Norbert said they have 11 drugs in phase 3.
