He was a young guy by today's standards. He turned 57 in August.

Poodlebrain was one of the best posters on TigerDroppings. He was especially helpful to many posters on the Money Talk Board who needed tax advice.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

I would like to make a donation to his favorite charity/non-profit in his memory. Would you mind telling me what that charity/non-profit might be and his name? If you prefer not to put that information on a public forum, you can email me at (deleted).

Thank you.

This! Very sad news, he and his family will certainly be in my prayers.

Will do. I haven't heard anything yet.

PS- You may need to send me an email. I just went back through my old email folder and I can't find your address. I guess Yahoo dropped off some of the older messages.

ETA: While going through my old emails, I came across several messages I received from HiddenFlask. Very depressing. Live each day as if it's your last, right?

Damn.

If any of you find an obit or cause of death, please post.

At age 57... I'm guessing it was something tragic and sudden.

Very sad to hear - one of the most straightfoward, honest, rational people in the history of this site (for whatever that's worth). Also the first I am hearing about THF. Prayers out to both.

What else can be said that hasn't already. Poddle was a top 5 poster on Tigerdroppings. He was a cut above everyone on tax policy and he was always willing to provide help to our posters. He was one of a kind and will be truly missed.

What a tough year on MTB. Two of the best posters gone much too young.

RIP Poodle

Incredibly sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.

As a fellow CPA, I loved to read his posts. I don't know if I've ever disagreed with one of his or LSUFanHouston's professional advice or "opinions."

RIP Poodle. One of the most influential Money Talk posters in the history of this board.

We say this all the time, but no shite - Poodlebrain will be missed, particularly on this board.

Wil do. I'll call you tomorrow (Wednesday).

You might want to edit your post and delete your phone number. I've written it down.

Talk to you tomorrow morning.

I met him in early fall of '08 and he could not have been over 50. So still way too young today.

I hope he went peacefully. Great poster. Top 3 for me on the political board, if not my favorite.

This is terrible news. I am crushed with feelings of sadness and sympathy for Ken's parents and siblings. I know that his Dad is alive and we all know of the unimaginable pain that the loss of a child can bring. His sister and brother are definitely crushed. They grew up quite close and looked after one another.

Ken and Coolidge were very good friends. Both very bright, fun and very interesting people. Coolidge being gone has been awful, but, now, Ken/Poodlebrain too? It's terrible and I feel awful. I don't think I'll feel better anytime soon, and when I think about Ken's family losing him, I feel even worse.
