So in my pursuit of stacking paper to the ceiling I bought 5 shares of EROC at $1.34. Yesterday it closed at $1.74.

The article mentions unitholders of record. Is that anyone who owns even 1 share or what? Vanguard is trading at $9.80ish but the position I had in EROC was barely $8.

Not overly concerned about being out the $8, just curious as to the process.

Only funded my account with $100. I am playing and learning with this money. My largest holding is F right now with 2 whole shares.

I have an IRA thru work that is primarily ETFs. So I'm taking care of retirement first.

Yes, if Eagle Rock is traded as an MLP. You will also have to fill out a K-1 schedule with your tax returns next year.

I suggest reading up on MLP's.

My Uncle is one of the original founders of this company and CEO at one point, but I don't think he's been involved with them for a few years. Cashed out years ago.

Interesting.

I almost bought some with part of my "learning" money. Wasn't aware of this aspect. Needless to say, I'm less than ignorant on a lot of things stock market. Thanks for the info.
