How can you possibly fit so much incorrect information into so few words?

To be honest, most don't understand it (on the client side).

Most B/D's handcuff their advisors to cover their asses (on the advisor side).

The best approach I have found to appease all is a mix of low beta equity funds, balanced funds as a core sprinkled with ETF's as satellite holdings.

ETA: but I am shitty at my job according to most here.

I've never said that. Hell, I'm wise enough to see the value in universal life insurance for myself. Notwithstanding all the naysayers.

Anyway, no big deal. If it's a correction, it's a correction. If it's a blip, it's a blip. I am diversified. Meaning real estate, cash, precious metals, and some bonds etc, in addition to equities.

The biggest thing I ever learned, through pain, was to always have a cash position, and to always be going in and out of gold along with the cash. Because I see cash sitting idle much the same as gold sitting idle. But that's me.

Scoop...

You know the Yuan is down only 4% or so vs. the Dollar YTD.

Do you know what the Euro is down? The Canadian Dollar?

We were lucky and went about 30% cash (some clients more) 2 weeks ago for other reasons and it seems to be paying off.

If China goes, then I think we have a really tough day tomorrow.

So what is their plan? Trying to stimulate their economy similar to the Feds QE? Educate an ignorant poster.

Good - my short fund was only up 3% Friday.

Lesson learned....shoulda investigated that fund more before purchase.

I am nearly 100% cash, sans some small holdings and some holdings I plan to pass on to my kids when I am gone from this earth.
