We have a quote of $15000 to finish demo (bathrooms, kitchen cabnets, 50% of sheetrock), dry, treat, redo insulation, full sheetrock install ready to paint. 1750 square foot home, 8 total rooms w 5 total closets. House had 7 feet of water. About 2500-3000 sq ft of sheetrock.

How does the price sound?

Local company they have used before for sheetrock.

Do you have 16 ft ceilings, or, did you already pull out the first 4 feet of rock?

They are also going to rewire electrical box so meter can be turned on, run a few electrical sockets (1 in each area of house ), and rewire electricity to AC. Included in the 15k.

Is that labor only or labor plus materials?

If it's for labor and materials, I know I wouldn't do it for that price. Don't pay in advance.....

Seems cheap, esp if it includes electrical work. Note that cheap does not always mean good.

Labor plus materials. They are going to do demo, then we pay 5k after demo and spraying is complete. We pay the other 10k after project is completed. They wont sheetrock until it is dry 4-8 weeks. The electrical work is not complete rewire, just temp rewire to get meter on to get house drying and do work.

Bellande & sons is contractor. They are licensed and insured in LA. Based out of NOLA
