It says 30,000 skymiles if you purchase over $1,000 in the first 3 months? Anyone have one of these and can give some additional info? Looking to find a good credit card with some flying perks as i tend to travel a lot

Look up the card. It will tell you the perks. Yes you have to meet the minimum spend to get the miles. The annual fee does not count as part of the minimum spend if it has one.

I did look up the card. It clearly says 30,000 miles if you purchase over $1,000 in the first 3 months. That just seems like a lot of miles and kinda too good to be true

30,000 is pretty standard for airline cards. basically it equates to about $300 for spending $1000. will take awhile to actually get the miles so if you are planning on using them in the near future you need to act quick

if you travel a bunch get the gold card. has a $95 fee after the first year but you get to check your first bag for free

Don't sign up for the 30k Miles sign-up bonus. They often have a 50k Miles sign up bonus for the gold and 35k for the silver.

I've had mine since 2011and it's my primary card I spend everything I can on it.

If you fly Delta frequently you may want to check out the delta reserve card

I'm not sure if there is a question in there. If you travel a lot you should be aware that credit card companies throw miles at people. This is an average offer. There's a USAir card offering 50000 miles for payment of the $89 annual fee and one purchase of any kind.

I've had the Delta Skymiles card since December. I just took a job that requires a lot of travel and Delta offers the best service at my local airport, which is Memphis International. That's probably your nearest large airport as well if you are in Oxford.

So far, the miles are adding up quickly. I put all of my airfare and expenses on the card and even got my wife a card on my account as well.

It's not the best intro offer (fairly normal actually....United and AA have very similar rewards cards), but it's a great choice if your local airport is a Delta focus city. Free checked bags and other minor perks are nice. You get reduced drinks as well it you purchase ahead of time. I think you can get priority boarding and reduced sky lounge entry but I never actually checked up on that.

My airfare to Istanbul alone had me meet the 30,000 mile bonus the first week. My goal is to have enough miles to fly my wife out to wherever I am and visit me on weekends when I can't make it back.

There is a Delta Reserve card that I probably should have looked into more closely.

If you aren't in a huge hurry, they do 50K miles several times a year. Got this card a year ago at 50K, and while I don't travel a lot, getting the free checked bag is a small perk to make the annual fee worth it.

If this seems too good to be true, hold onto your hat, because it gets even better from here

it's pretty normal, I got 50k on a similar offer with united, and using their FF program, I can stretch that to 2 round trips

30,000 miles is nothing. Barely gets you a domestic low award level ticket.

I have 82,000 miles. What is a good number to start getting many perks for Delta?

We just finished our first month with the card, well over $1000 - 30,000 miles posted to the account.

Wait for the higher signup bonus (with that card they regularly offer 50k miles).
