Probably, but I'm sure you could peak his interests if you say you are hedging the risk of the bitcoins investment with the guaranteed growth of the permanent, he'll have no choice but to respond

I've lightly read some of his stuff. Basically it is personal finance lite for people who either have no clue what to do or lack the right behaviors when they do know what to do.

It's very simple stuff, but it works fine if you're in either category. He admits that you can do better if you learn more but for a KISS philosophy it works fine.

For example, debt is perfectly fine and can even help you if you know how to use it, but most of his customers are struggling with debt used unwisely instead. For them the first step is to just quit digging the hole, not to learn how to use the shovel more usefully.

I'm reading his Total Money Makeover Book now; I got hooked to his radio show as well. Awesome read so far.

Check out "Pound Foolish", by Helain Olen. Ramsey and others like him get rich by selling their products. His basic message is to get out of debt and live within your means , which is sound advice, IMO. I would be very careful of using his recommended financial advisors as some have been documented to be crooks and they pay Ramsey's company to get listed. Overall, one of the better ones by far but tread carefully and don't throw away money on repetitive products.

Out of debt advice solid. Investing? Meh
