So I've seen a lot of land go into CRP over the years, and a lot of it is still far too small to be worth anything, but some of the older stuff (12-15+ years) looks to be getting decent size on it. I believe the tree type spread is typically mixed oaks, ash, and maybe the occasional cypress.

At what point would this stuff be worth cutting for pulpwood? Any approximate DBH?

No idea, but you may get more help on the outdoor board.

Most don't put land into CRP for the timber. They do it to get the annual payments from the program and to make the land more beneficial for wildlife and therefore hunting. Between the annual payments and what some people lease it our for per year, I know some guys getting around $150 or more per acre per year.
