From what I know it is any chase business card. Tough to get two. At least for people with those not so real "Sole Props"

Hmmm

Maybe I'll cancel my wife's old Ink Cash since I have 2 of my own. I really need to be able to hit both SW cards before end of the year/early next year.

I got Citi thank you premier in July. I have an email from them saying my account is considered opened as of July 27.
First statement posted Aug 15. 2nd on Sept 15 and now I see the 3rd one today. I ended up $148 short of required spend due to a merchandise return I forgot about.
Am I screwed? 90 days/3 months isn't really up until Oct 25 or Oct 27. But 3 statements have already posted.

You have 90 days from account opening, not 3 statements.

Oh thank you!!!! I was so pissed at myself. Good lesson though. I'm going to be sure to hit spends earlier if possible.

Yup, I always go over by a $100 or so if I'm late meeting the requirement. Only slightly over if I know I have plenty of time and finish it early.

Also, if the card charges you the annual fee upfront, make sure not to count that as "spend". People make that mistake all the time time too.

My evidence is anecdotal and therefore very YMMV.

Also, just curious, why dont you go for 2 personal SW instead of the business?

5/24

She also has 6 open personals with Chase right now, so I'd probably have to consolidate that a bit as well

She'd be 4/24 in November and 3/24 in late January 2018, which isn't terrible.

Looks like PPDG and cardcash are dead for 5x on ink according to reddit. I have been hitting cardcash pretty hard the last year for cards for everyday purchases from walmarks and their $35 min for free delivery.

There is another Staples VGC rebate next week for those interested. OD/OM needs to step it up.

Thoughts on the new Bank Of America Premium rewards card? I already have the Saphire Reserve but it looks like this one earns even more points per dollar * if you get the bonus for having money in BOA accounts, which I do.

I'd be earning about 3.6 points per dollar. This has to be the best right?

I’m BofA platinum honors so I just signed up for the new premium rewards to at least give it a shot for a year. The cash back % is I believe the best available, but I think for everyday spend I’d still prefer to use chase unlimited (bundled with my sapphire reserve).

What will determine if I keep the BofA card or not is the usefulness of the airline reimbursement, I.e can it be used towards gift cards.

BOA has been really good to me the last two years. I freaking love Merril Edge and something crazy like 100 free trades a month. Best deal in the industry.

I've been using the Fidelity Rewards and just going 2 percent straight into a taxable account for regular purchases and Chase Saphire Reserve for trave/dining.

But I'm going to replace the Fidelity card with the new BOA one and just have that roll into my taxable accounts on Merril Edge.

I mean, it's not a ton, but in two years using the Fidelity card part time, I have almost 2K (25% of that is just growth in the market). It's free money, so I just let it ride in index funds.

I know someone that has done three chase ink preferred cards with three different EINs. Two of these were in the last six months, so it will be interesting to see if he gets both bonuses.

Yeah we were there about a week after they had been included. The $28 limit resets every 2 hours too. You want to request your waitress/waiter to close out as soon as you place your first order then come back in 1-1.5 hours later and make sure she closes out this time at least 2 hours after she had closed out the first one.

Didn't realize it resets every 2 hours. I wasn't there long enough to take advantage but that's good to know

I preferred the restaurant to a lot of lounges in priority pass network I've been to. Nice to have an actual meal

So I was denied a credit card last night for the first time. Applied for BoA Premium Rewards card and was instantly denied.. they said a letter will be mailed to me explaining why, but does anyone here have any ideas?

I have no prior relationship with BoA. Credit score of 750. I’ve got 6-7 new cards in the last year from other banks, so I’m assuming they have some sort of auto trigger to help prevent churning. Worth calling recon?

I was denied last year for a Citi card. It was a bit of a sting, my score was 780. Got the letter, called recon, and they wouldn't budge. Told me I had too many recently opened accounts, I think I had about 6 accounts opened last year.
I applied for another card (Barclay or something?) the next day and was approved. Didn't apply for any more after that, and now a year later I have a Citi card and have gotten 2 or 3 more cards.
You can give them a call, what do you have to lose besides 10 minutes of your time?

I'd mention that I got an Alaska card by them once and they did the approval for the lower version of the card. Recon changed that and moved me up with bonus, etc.

As other guy said, no loss to call and see what is up. Sometimes the reason is for something quite trivial and not that they think you are taking advantage of them.
