What kind of dues are we looking at for a guy that's about to turn 30? Hopefully I'll be taking a job up there I know it's not so much money board material but I was hoping for some serious answers

I have a couple of buddies who are members at Vaquero. Probably not as elite as Brook Hollow but the buildings are nicer. Brook Hollow is kind of in a bad area also. I never liked traveling there. No idea of the costs though. Probably north of 100 grand.

Try Cowboys Country Club

It's awesome, favorite course I've played

The best in Plano is Gleneagles. Initiation fee will be around $35,000 with monthly fee around $500 or $600. Of course, there are several levels of membership and I believe there is some flexibility but they will never tell you that.

There are so many nice public courses in the DFW area I probably wouldn't join anywhere.

Depends on where you're going to be living too. Vaquero is nice but it's wayyyy outside of Dallas.... Near trophy club

Tons of great courses all over dfw. Check out avid golfer. It's a locally based golf magazine that has a weekly radio show I listen to

They rank the best public and private courses each year and tier them by costs

Good luck

The "best" CC are a little out of my price range right now. I'm sure a lot of them have "junior executive" membership for us young folks.

Between $100 and $100,000 initiation fees. Hope that helps.

In Houston, the nicer clubs have JE if you're under 30. I think one place the cost was $50,000 initiation fee. But, they let you pay it off over 10 years. Not too shabby.

There are usually junior memberships. Probably still looking at $3-500/mo in dues probably, initiation fees, and monthly minimums.

Plenty of clubs in the North Dallas area. Good luck.
