Coin collectors - 2014 Jackie Robinson half dollar

What are your thoughts on this coin? Would you buy it as a collector's item? It's one of Amazon's "Today's deals" for $69.50. I know nothing about coins but I thought it was interesting. Thanks for any and all feedback

It's only gonna be worth the price of silver + maybe a few dollars forever. Coins like this one are never worth much. It's the old and rare coins that you need to invest in if you're into coin investing.

i think what hes asking is if it gets old, would it be rare and appealing.

Amazon is NOT the place you want to buy coins for a good price.
I would pay at most, $20.

Anything that says collector item and is sold commercially today isn't going to be worth much. Probably less than when you buy it

Use the same $70.00 if you want to buy an old coin and buy something like this:
1947-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar, PCGS 63

You can probably get a more common date MS-64 or even MS-65 coin in the series for around the same $70.00.
There's much more upside potential on the 1947 coin than the 2014 coin.
