Ya, 5% is five percent, but if I wanted a cash back card I'd definitely find one that didn't have a quarterly limit or use few different types together since most don't have an annual fee.

Without doing the math, I doubt I'd just use chase freedom.

So you have to buy the ticket through the reward program or can it be used on sites like travelocity?

When you search for flights in the UR system, you get the exact same results you would get on travelocity, etc.

It's a free card, I use it on 5% on quarterly bonuses then transfer the points to my CSP for flights.
