I have the CSR and a Delta AMEX. If I book a Delta flight through the Ultimate rewards portal, will I still be able to take advantage of the free checked bag that goes with my Delta AMEX? I would think so, but thought someone here may know for sure.

Yes you will get to use the free checked bag no matter how you book the flight as long as the delta amex is linked to your frequent flyer profile.

If your skymiles number is listed on your amex or you get miles dumped each month to your balance you can use the free luggage - We do it a lot and I don't carry many delta miles

I booked a Delta flight about 6 months before getting the Delta AMEX and when it came time for checkin, I still got all the benefits of the AMEX

As long as the DL amex is listed on your DL frequent flyer account anytime you fly you will get the perks associated with that card.
