CFP reccomendations/guidance for purchasing farm

My family is looking at purchasing some working farm land and we are trying to determine the best way to structure the deal. My parents are also seeking advice for some other financial questions. Is a CFP the right person to ask about this?

The other financial questions, sure, a CFP might help.
What do you mean by structure the deal for the farm? You need legal advice from an attorney and you need a banker to figure out the financing and you need a CPA to look and make sure you can be profitable.

The primary question is not the actual transaction, but the best way to line up everything including the purchase and the business to get the most benefit. The reason I ask is that our CPA does not seem to be of much help with anything other than filing our taxes.
I would like to get advice and all questions answered before the transaction goes through. Maybe we just need a New CPA.

You might try the Outdoor Board for help. They may be able to give you some ideas/names.

You need a CPA who works with small businesses. Not all CPAs do that.
