How big is the company and how different are the positions?

If you are qualified for both, I don't see an issue, but I might attach a cover letter explaining that you have applied for both.

I think it's fine if the positions are somewhat similar. Like one is for a Staff Accountant position and one is for a Financial Analyst. I think if they're incongruent, it might look bad. Like one is Accounting and one is Marketing.

One is sales and one is content writing. Pretty different but the content writing just posted and I applied for the sales position on Tuesday.

I reached out to one of our recruiters and she said they actually encouraged applicants to apply for multiple positions if they met the requirements, and were truly interested in each job. If it's two jobs under the same manager that might raise an eyebrow - but in that case you could explain your situation during the interview.

Go for it....

Now if you were applying for mail clerk and CEO, that might be a bit of a red flag =)

I don't see an issue here. Content writing is probably consistent with your background, and sales come from all areas of people.
