Sort of a 'darkest before the dawn' thinking. Once it sinks in that the porkulus bill is not the magic bullet so many think it will be, I think reality will set in and the market will drop like a stone for a week or two, maybe even going below 7,000 on the DJ.

Then it will be time to be really, really greedy.

But, it's going to be painful to watch...

Before the market bottomed in the 1930's there were 5 instances where the market regained more than 20% of lost value.

After the 5th one most had lost their shirts and despair set in.

I hope you have lots of shirts.

If you are in for the long haul I wouldn't even pay attention to the markets. I've got 25-30 years before retirement and I am just going to keep doing what I've been doing in my 401k. I just don't follow the daily ups and downs. I will probably check it again in six months or so just out of curiosity. But I know that I am picking shares up for cheap right now and for the foreseeable future.
