Never bought large amounts of physical gold, but have bought silver. I would shop around at local places wherever you are and ask what they sell above spot.

Personally, I've always bought, and sold, to NWTMBullion. I just went to their site, and unbeknownst to me, they filed bankruptcy. Just keep googling, youll find reputable spots. Ask around for what their price is above spot, look for companies that sell branded bullion such as Engalhard or Johnson Mathey for silver.

Is this a good investment? They make fun of it on CNBC.

I haven't pulled the trigger, but I keep looking at gold and silver at JMBullion. Part of me says buy you fool and the other part says if you buy your a fool. Just can't make up my mind if I want to do it.

I'm in the same boat. I feel like who wants to be a millionaire and I used my 50/50 and left with buy and don't buy. I'm scared if I picked buy I lose at the end. At the same time I don't want to say to myself later when I need it I should have bought some when I could.
